COLD EYE IN THE SKY

COLD EYE IN THE SKY

I hear the faintest cries
but the world is dancing.
All are jacking up the price
In a blind man's fancy groove.

I see some bloody teeth
but the world is laughing.
All are bopping in the grease
In a manic petty pride.

But there in the deepest night,
do you hear the calling?
And there in the coldest night,
do you hear the howling?
Don't you see them crowding
round the nitty, gritty town,
Lazing in its restless peace?

I feel some stone cold breath,
but the world is hustling.
All are gambling unto death
In a Ferris wheel of lust.

But there in the deepest night,
do you hear the calling?
And there in the coldest night,
do you hear the howling?
Don't you see them crowding
round the nitty, gritty town,
Lazing in its restless peace?

And there's a cold eye in the sky
Telling me what ain't a secret yet.
And there's a cold eye in the sky,
And a cry will tear the night!

I feel the night is near
to cut the horny pride,
To reveal the hateful cheer.
My teeth are ready and sharp.
